Koutoubia Mosque

The Koutoubia Mosque (or Kutubiyya) in Marrakech was built in the 12th century by the Almohad Caliphate, often associated with the era of Yusuf ibn Tashfin (who built the preceding Almoravid fortress on the site). 

The Saadian Tombs

The Saadian Tombs, a stunning example of the country’s rich history and culture. Built in the 16th century, the tombs are a testament to the power and grandeur of the Saadian dynasty. It offers a glimpse into the past and a chance to explore the amazing architecture and design of the site. The tombs are composed of two main sections, each containing several chambers and decorated with detailed stucco carvings and colorful tiles.

Bahia palace

Bahia palace is a beautiful palace built in the late 19th century. The top artists of the city were employed to decorate it and they spent more than ten years putting together the stunning mosaiacs and gardens that you can see today.

Souks of Marrakech

Marrakech’s souks are a winding labyrinth of narrow alley and streets packed with market stalls, where the locals do their shopping and merchants try to entice tourists with their offers and discounts. The souks begin on the northern part of Jemaa el-Fnaa and spreads through numerous passageways and streets. Visitors will be able to purchase clothes, fabrics, food, spices, pottery, jewellery and many other traditional Moroccan products in these fascinating traditional markets.

The Jemaa el-fnaa Square

The Jemaa el-fnaa square and market Marrakech’s main square and the most important part of the medina. Here, inhabitants and tourists gather both during the day and night to have something to eat, shop or observe the various shows taking place. 

What we liked most about this faboulous square, is how it transforms from dawn to dusk. Jemaa el-Fna is the city’s top attraction and can be visited at all hours of the day. 

The Palmeraie of Marrakech 

Camel Ride at the Palmeraie of Marrakech or the palm grove of Marrakech is a sprawling oasis located just north of Marrakech, Morocco, featuring hundreds of thousands of palm trees. Situated at the edge of the city’s northern section, it measures 5 miles in length, and covers an area of 54 square miles.

Mechouar-Kasba 

Mechouar-Kasba known as the former royal citadel and also known to be a relatively calm, safe, and atmospheric neighborhood. Also known as a “hip neighborhood” within the Medina, it offers a slightly quieter, more historic atmosphere compared to the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The Saadian Tombs are located in this neighborhood. And Mellah Market, this market is known for spices, perfumes, and textiles.
